Description
Living expenses and rent subsidies for people with disabilities in Styria support adults with disabilities who are not fully institutionalized and whose income does not reach specified guideline or upper limits. The aim of the funding is to enable independent living and to secure adequate housing. Both expenses for daily living needs—such as food, accommodation, household goods, heating, clothing, and personal necessities—as well as rent are covered in the form of grants. Also eligible for funding are annuities and operating costs for owner-occupied, private, and cooperative apartments, provided that the increased space requirement is due to a significant mobility impairment.
Eligible are persons with their main residence in Styria who hold EEA citizenship, Swiss citizenship, or a corresponding residence permit and are allowed to stay in the country for more than three months. Applications can be submitted continuously, as there is no deadline. A prerequisite is the submission of the standardized application for assistance under the Styrian Disability Act, which must be submitted to the locally competent authority. This continuous funding opportunity helps to avoid financial bottlenecks and ensures a dignified life in a familiar environment. Potential applicants benefit from tailored support that takes individual needs into account and promotes sustainable social participation.
