Description
The Raiffeisen Foundation supports the development of well-founded textbooks, individual book chapters, and interactive teaching materials with a cooperative focus through the Teaching Materials and Teachers program. Projects at all educational levels are funded – from schools through vocational and technical schools to universities of applied sciences and universities – as well as initiatives by cooperative enterprises. The focus is not only on the fundamentals of cooperatives but especially on the concerns of rural cooperatives regarding economic, legal, and social framework conditions. Furthermore, the funding enables initiatives to recruit and qualify teachers and specialists for the school, vocational, and higher education sectors to sustainably strengthen rural cooperatives.
Interested authors, publishers, educational institutions, and cooperative enterprises may submit an informal written or electronic application at any time. A clear project relation to cooperatives and the submission of a complete application including information about the applicant, project description, learning objectives, financial plan, and any co-funders are prerequisites. A brief record of applications already submitted to other funding institutions increases transparency and facilitates decision-making. After formal review, the board recommends the final approval to the advisory board. The continuously open application deadlines offer maximum flexibility for planning. This program opens up diverse opportunities to realize practical and target-group-oriented teaching materials and to promote awareness of cooperative values in education and the public sphere.
