Performance and Elite Sports

In the state of Carinthia, the state government offers clubs and associations in the sports sector continuous financial support in the form of grants. The goal is the sustainable strengthening of competitive and elite sports – from targeted preparation for the Olympic Games to participation in European and World Championships as well as other supra-regional competitions. Eligible to apply are non-profit clubs, associations, or public institutions from Carinthia that operate within the guidelines of the Sports Act and the Carinthian Sports Directives. Submissions can be made at any time, as there is no deadline. Corresponding applications must be submitted using the official forms of Sportland Carinthia, optionally as a sports club, sports association, or municipality, and require a positive funding approval from the Department of Education and Sports (Department 6) of the Office of the Carinthian State Government.

The funding requirements include, in addition to strict compliance with legal regulations, a detailed presentation of planned training and competition measures as well as proof of specific performance objectives. Binding documents include the formal application, proof of funding approval, and a budget plan justifying the requested funding amount.
