Description
The Free State of Bavaria supports the ongoing operating costs of recognized federal and state training centers for elite youth sports with a project-related grant of up to 90%. Eligible applicants are interest groups or other clubs that provide their sports associations with modern training facilities in a condition suitable for competitive sports free of charge. The goal is an efficient training center system that strengthens motivated providers and creates long-term, high-quality conditions for youth squad athletes. The funding covers a standard funding period of 36 months. Eligible expenses include all ongoing costs according to § 2 Nos. 1–17 of the Operating Costs Ordinance (BetrKV).
Submissions are made annually by September 15 to the locally responsible government authority. Application in the first funding year requires proof of proportional use by elite youth squad athletes (e.g., occupancy plans, squad lists), confirmation from the responsible sports association, and a current usage agreement with the association, unless the association itself is the provider. From the second year onward, only updated information on the provider, facility, location, and sports disciplines is required in the application process. This funding ensures a reliable offer of performance-oriented training facilities in the Free State of Bavaria and sustainably supports the continuous youth development work of the associations.
