Description

The Sternenstaub Foundation supports intensive 3–4-day learning camps and small group workshops in Bavaria for refugee children and children with a migration background from educationally disadvantaged families. These offerings take place three times a year in selected youth hostels and combine subject-specific preparation for school lessons and upcoming exams with targeted language support in German. Through a high supervision ratio and individually tailored learning processes, subject competencies are deepened, self-confidence is strengthened, and a sense of community is promoted. Accommodation, meals, and educational supervision are fully funded, allowing participants to learn without concern and explore new environments. The varied surroundings of the youth hostels enable additional cultural exchange and foster personal development steps beyond regular school operations.

The funding is aimed at private individuals, specifically refugee children and children with a migration background from educationally disadvantaged families who participate in the offered sessions. A grant covers 100% of eligible expenses, including accommodation costs, meals, and educational supervision. Since this is ongoing funding, registrations are possible at any time. The only prerequisites, besides belonging to the target group, are a binding registration for one of the three camp periods. This low-threshold access regulation underscores the charitable objective of creating equal opportunities in education and reducing language barriers. Interested families can directly contact the Sternenstaub Foundation for information on upcoming dates and selection criteria and benefit from comprehensive support.
