Description
Since January 1, 2024, a nationwide initiative has been supporting the development and implementation of educational measures in the field of basic education as well as courses to complete compulsory schooling. Funding is provided for free offerings that include fundamental learning competencies, German, English, mathematics, and digital skills, and that meet high quality standards. The uniform framework guidelines define minimum standards for institutional prerequisites, program concepts, and qualifications of the educational staff. In this way, a needs-oriented, adult-appropriate learning environment is created, facilitating adults' access to sustainable education and thereby to social integration and the labor market.
Accredited educational providers have the opportunity to submit applications continuously until December 31, 2028 and benefit from a 100% funding rate. Eligible expenses include teaching units, trainer fees, course materials, and childcare costs. Allocation is based on the criteria of quality of the program concept, staff qualifications, balanced regional distribution, target group balance, and budget availability. Required are the standardized application form (step 1 of 6) and proof of successful accreditation according to the program guidelines. Project starts are possible from January 1, 2024; continuous application submission throughout the entire program duration is ensured.
