Literary Competitions and Youth Literature Awards of the Sparkassen Foundation Groß-Gerau

The Sparkassen Foundation Groß-Gerau continuously offers young emerging authors aged 14 to 18 from the Groß-Gerau district the opportunity to demonstrate their creative writing skills. As part of an annual accompanying competition, literary contributions are accepted and evaluated by an impartial jury. As a special recognition of imagination and linguistic expressiveness, attractive cash prizes are awarded, while the best texts are compiled and presented to the public in a published collection. Through the connection with the traditional book fair in Ried, a platform is created for the prize winners to make their own works accessible to a wider audience.

Eligible to participate are young people who either live in the Groß-Gerau district or attend school there. Submissions can be made at any time, as no fixed deadlines are set and the funding program is permanently open as a grant offer. With this commitment, the foundation places a focus on the cultural promotion of children and youth and strengthens the local literary potential. In addition to financial support, the competition offers the chance to gain valuable experience in the publication process and to network with other writing-enthusiastic peers.
