Description
The Alfred Toepfer Foundation F.V.S. supports local journalism nationwide with a long-term training program. The goal is to strengthen local media provision through practical qualification offers, free online webinars, as well as workshops and conferences in varying formats. Participants receive input from experienced experts in the fields of journalistic craft, digital tools, empowerment, and local innovations. Hybrid formats foster networks that promote exchange between local journalists and media professionals, thereby generating new impulses for daily reporting.
Funding is provided to individual private persons who are undergoing transformation processes and wish to expand their skills. Participation is free of charge; financial support is provided in kind in the form of training opportunities. Applications can be submitted informally at any time, allowing interested parties to benefit from the diverse offerings at any time. Through continuous training and networking measures, a sustainable network is created that permanently improves the quality and reach of local reporting. Further information is available on the Foundation’s website.
