Loki Schmidt Foundation: General Funding

The "General Funding" of the Loki Schmidt Foundation is aimed at non-profit associations and initiatives in Hamburg dedicated to environmental and nature conservation. Both material costs and personnel expenses are reimbursed during the idea and conception phase as well as during implementation and follow-up financing. In addition, project sponsors benefit from non-material support in the form of professional advice, networking, and services. The foundation places particular emphasis on promoting innovative approaches in landscape management and climate protection, thereby sustainably strengthening nature conservation in the Hamburg metropolitan region.

An informal application can be submitted throughout the year, allowing projects to be started flexibly. Funding is provided as a one-time grant without a maximum duration or binding deadline, enabling low-threshold access. Only non-profit organizations planning and implementing concrete environmental and nature conservation projects are supported. The financing covers all material costs, from procurement of materials to expenses for specialist personnel, and is complemented by formats for professional exchange. Through continuous support and networking, the Loki Schmidt Foundation fosters the sustainable embedding of project results and thus contributes to the long-term realization of environmental protection goals in Hamburg.
