Description

Program for Industrial Air Pollution Control in Austria
This nationwide funding instrument is aimed at companies, other entrepreneurial organizations, interest groups, as well as associations and religious institutions based in Austria. The focus is on primary measures to prevent air pollutants and secondary measures to minimize their emissions as much as possible. The initiative primarily encompasses the reduction of dust emissions in industrial and commercial facilities, the optimization of existing filtration systems – especially in biomass plants – and the retrofitting of exhaust after-treatment systems to reduce particle emissions, for example on construction machinery and special vehicles. With a funding amount of up to €30,000 per project, planning and installation costs are also supported. Selection is based on the expected environmental impact and the type of measure applied for, with environmental, nature, and climate protection at the core.

Application Requirements and Procedure
A prerequisite for funding is a legally binding location in Austria as well as submitting the application prior to the first binding order, delivery, or construction measure. Eligible expenses include the acquisition of filtration systems and exhaust after-treatment systems, technical planning, and installation. The application period extends from March 1, 2024, to December 31, 2050. Required documents include a technical description, measurement reports with completed air pollution control data sheets, offers and cost estimates, official decisions, and for investment volumes exceeding €500,000, a report from the financial institution. In this way, sustainable measures to reduce emissions in commercial and industrial sectors are effectively supported, paving the way for clean air.
