Fairy Tales of the World (SARIAS Non-Profit Foundation AG)

The SARIAS Non-Profit Foundation AG promotes an intercultural fairy tale picture book series with its program Fairy Tales of the World, which is distributed free of charge to children in daycare centers and primary schools. Each picture book conveys a story from a different culture and combines language development with values such as tolerance, empathy, and solidarity. Accompanying the book series, storytelling and play projects are developed in which teachers and educators deepen the German language in a playful way and strengthen intercultural exchange. The offer is aimed at children and young people and supports them in discovering commonalities between different cultures and consolidating their identity in a diverse environment.

Eligible for funding are private individuals as well as educational institutions from all over Germany that wish to promote language and value education in daycare centers or primary schools. Grants are continuously provided to implement projects related to fairy tale storytelling, theater productions, and intercultural workshops. The goal is not only to promote reading skills and understanding of cultural diversity but also to support social integration. Applications can be submitted at any time; a brief project outline including information on the target group, planned implementation, and expected impacts is sufficient. With Fairy Tales of the World, the foundation offers a unique opportunity to introduce children playfully to foreign narrative worlds and to make a sustainable contribution to intercultural education.
