Description
Measures of social operational assistance in agriculture in Carinthia according to K-LFF 2023 offer agricultural family businesses temporary bridging aid in the event of an involuntary absence of the operators or family-employed workers. The aim of this funding is to ensure the continuous operation of the business by providing a subsidy to cover replacement costs. Support can be granted for up to three months per year, with 80% of the costs not covered by the Social Insurance Institution for the Self-Employed (SVS) being subsidized. This significantly reduces the financial burden caused by necessary replacement services and strengthens the stability of agricultural and forestry enterprises in Carinthia.
Eligible for funding are natural and legal persons as well as partnerships with a registered office in Carinthia whose business is affected by an involuntary work absence and for whom no replacement labor is available. Conditions for approval include the submission of the application with funding commitment, exclusion of overfunding, and a consultation with the Carinthian Chamber of Agriculture in accordance with § 32 K-LFF 2023. Along with the application, evidence of incapacity to work or SVS-approved convalescence leave as well as proof of agricultural accident insurance coverage must be submitted. The measure is continuously available and can be applied for from July 15, 2023, without a deadline. The processing and monitoring of the appropriate use of funds is the responsibility of Department 10 – Agriculture and Forestry, Rural Areas, of the Office of the Carinthian State Government.
