Description
Funding in the area of equipment procurement supports Carinthian sports clubs, municipalities, and legal entities with a predominantly sporting purpose in the acquisition of cost-intensive sports equipment that goes beyond the usual facilities of sports venues. The aim is to strengthen training and competition operations through modern equipment, thereby increasing the performance and safety of the participating athletes. Funding is provided, among other things, for movable sports equipment, specialized functional devices for ongoing game operations, as well as means of transport that ensure the smooth running of training sessions and competitions. Direct grant funding from the program “Equipment Procurement – Training and Competition Equipment and Clothing” is granted within the framework of the Carinthian Sports Act and is available to non-profit organizations and public institutions based in Carinthia.
Eligible to apply are sports clubs domiciled in Carinthia, Carinthian municipalities following a positive resolution by their competent bodies, as well as legal entities whose primary purpose lies in the field of sport. Eligible expenses include, among others, innovative sports equipment, specialized means of transport for teams and individual athletes, as well as technical functional devices for competition operations. Applications can be submitted from October 8, 2025, until the full utilization of the funding volume. Department 6 – Education and Sport of the Carinthian State Government coordinates the process, provides the necessary forms, and supports applicants throughout the awarding process. These measures aim to realize infrastructural improvements in Carinthian sport and to strengthen youth development as well as elite and grassroots sports in the long term.
