Description
The program Mathematical Labyrinth with Scratch Part 1 (Mkid) by the Vector Foundation is aimed at students in grades 6 and 7 at grammar schools, secondary modern schools, and comprehensive schools (M and E levels) in Baden-Württemberg who wish to develop their potential in mathematics and natural sciences. In weekly, differentiated course units, participants receive practical solution strategies that strengthen mathematical self-confidence and enable new experiences of success. Teachers benefit from a three-part pedagogical-didactic training, while an extensive material box is provided for each grade level. Additionally, organized excursions and an annual networking meeting are part of the concept, which embraces didactics as a key under the motto “I can do math!”
