The Dieter von Holtzbrinck Stiftung GmbH supports projects nationwide and in Baden-Württemberg aimed at the early promotion of media literacy in schools. Educational institutions, non-profit, and public organizations can integrate the critical examination of news and information into their teaching through grants. The focus is on practice-oriented formats such as "Journalism Makes School," which enable collaboration with experienced journalists, as well as the Tübingen Media Agency, which annually invites renowned media professionals for guest lectures and offers workshops for media studies students. Furthermore, the informal network Media Education in Baden-Württemberg connects stakeholders from schools, ministries, media houses, and academia to develop cooperative initiatives and create transparency regarding existing programs.
