Description

The Media Authority Berlin-Brandenburg (mabb) is committed, through its funding program in the field of media literacy and media education, to strengthening the digital sovereignty of the population in Berlin and Brandenburg. By supporting external projects as well as organizing its own events, mabb provides complementary impulses for the contemporary transmission of knowledge and skills in dealing with digital media. In addition to workshops and prevention offerings against disinformation, freely available media literacy materials and publications are provided and continuously developed. This creates a sustainable network of professionals, educational institutions, and cultural organizations that promotes and firmly establishes innovative approaches in digital education.

Eligible for funding are non-profit organizations, educational institutions, public institutions, companies, and private individuals based or active in Berlin or Brandenburg who wish to implement projects, workshops, or events to convey media literacy. Funding is provided in the form of direct grants, although there are currently no open calls. Interested parties should closely monitor mabb’s funding guidelines to observe future deadlines and requirements. The goal is to enable broad participation from various partners in the education and cultural sectors and thereby systematically expand media literacy in the region.
