Media Education Consultant Network Bavaria

The Media Education Speaker Network Bavaria offers Bavarian kindergartens, family centers, and schools a free media education service for conducting parent evenings. Qualified speakers support the planning and implementation of informational events – either online or in person. The goal is to raise awareness among parents and caregivers about the fascination and challenges of digital media, as well as to provide practical tips for age-appropriate media use. Institutions can choose from various age groups (3–6, 6–10, 10–14 years) and thematic focuses (Fake News, Internet & Smartphone, Cyberbullying, Social Media, Digital Games). Additionally, events are available in plain language to enable barrier-free participation for all target groups.

The project is funded by the Bavarian State Chancellery and provided by the BLM Foundation Media Education Bavaria. Educational institutions based in Bavaria can apply at any time and receive a 100% grant – both speaker fees and travel expenses for in-person events are fully covered. Participation fees or admission charges must not be levied. This offer is equally aimed at educational professionals and parents who wish to jointly promote a reflective approach to digital media in everyday family life. The foundation advises on topic selection, organizes the event process, and provides data protection-compliant technical solutions for online events to ensure a smooth and beneficial event.
