Description
The Multiple Birth Grant of the state of Carinthia offers a one-time financial support for families upon the birth of twins, triplets, or higher-order multiples. Eligible applicants are private individuals who can prove that their primary residence with the multiples is in Carinthia and who receive the federal family allowance for the children. The grant is provided as a lump-sum subsidy and aims to alleviate the additional financial burden during the special phase of raising multiples. Applications can be submitted continuously and must be filed within the first year of the multiples' lives. The review of the submitted documents is the responsibility of Department 13 – Society and Integration of the Office of the Carinthian State Government, which makes discretionary decisions based on the applicable guidelines.
The following documents must be submitted for the application: birth certificate of the multiples, registration certificate of the children, registration certificate of the applying parent, as well as proof of receipt of the federal family allowance (official notice or payment receipt). The funding is granted indefinitely from the cut-off date of 01.10.2018, provided the eligibility criteria are met. Department 13 – Society and Integration in Klagenfurt oversees the entire award process and is available for professional inquiries. The program explicitly targets all legal guardians, including adoptive or foster parents, and aims to sustainably relieve parents in caring for their multiples during the first months of life.
