Description

The two-year mentoring program "Baukultur Talents" of the Federal Foundation for Baukultur supports committed young professionals nationwide in the field of Baukultur through individually tailored tandems consisting of experienced mentors and motivated mentees. The focus is on professional exchange, practice-oriented learning, and networking within a vibrant community. Mentors, who serve as voluntary members of the Baukultur Support Association, contribute a one-time fee of 250 euros and in return benefit from new impulses, fresh perspectives from young professionals, and targeted support of emerging talent. Participants determine the form and intensity of their mentoring themselves—whether through regular meetings, internships, or joint participation in professional events. An annual gathering during the Support Association’s general meeting serves as a platform for exchanging ideas, collegial workshops, and public presentation of the tandem projects.

Interested mentees—such as students, award recipients, or project participants with demonstrated commitment to Baukultur—can apply continuously, provided there is a recommendation from relevant experts and proof of membership in the Support Association. Selection criteria include previous engagement and the quality of the recommendation, as well as the individual goals of the tandems. The program aims to develop personal potential, support career entry and planning, and strengthen interdisciplinary networks. The mentoring fosters lasting contacts that sustainably enhance both the personal development of participants and the future of Baukultur. Applications are accepted at any time; there are no fixed deadlines.
