Description
The Kinder Stipendien Foundation awards nationwide uncomplicated micro-scholarships for the sustainable support of children and adolescents who are in difficult economic or social circumstances. The foundation's goal is the targeted improvement of educational opportunities through material assistance in the areas of tutoring, musical and sports promotion, as well as class trips. Applications can be submitted continuously and without a fixed deadline via trusted persons from schools, youth welfare institutions, or counseling centers. The foundation covers 100% of eligible expenses, provided these are not already covered by state or municipal funds.
A prerequisite for funding is a proposal by a trusted person as well as proof of need and the expectation of a positive educational benefit. Expenses for traditional tutoring, instrumental or vocal lessons, swimming courses, and class trips are considered eligible. Selection is based on the economic and social situation of the family, the individual development potential of the children, and the recommendation of the foundation’s board of trustees. With this approach, the Kinder Stipendien Foundation enables tailored support that targets where it has the greatest effect, thereby making a tangible contribution to equal opportunities in education.
