Description
The mini-scholarships from the Wiesloch Citizens' Foundation support children from all Wiesloch schools who come from financially precarious backgrounds and wish to take advantage of extended educational and care offerings. Funding is provided, among other things, for lunch in all-day schools, afternoon courses, and instrumental lessons. Mini or partial scholarships are granted in the form of a subsidy that covers up to 50% of the incurred costs, but no more than €500 per offering. The program aims to enable children with sufficient willingness to perform to access opportunities that would otherwise be difficult to reach due to financial barriers.
Requirements for funding include residence in Wiesloch, attendance at a Wiesloch school, proof of financial need, and documented willingness to perform. Applications can be submitted at any time: a written application is forwarded by the school administration to the board of the Wiesloch Citizens' Foundation. The necessary forms are available in the school offices and can also be viewed online under Service & Downloads. The decision on the award is based on the criteria of financial need and the child's commitment. Through these continuously available subsidies, the foundation makes an important contribution to social participation and individual support of young people in the Baden-Württemberg region.
