Description
The "MINT for Future Challenge" of the RÜTGERS Foundation is aimed nationwide at school classes of general education schools that wish to implement creative projects with sustainable impact in the fields of mathematics, computer science, natural sciences, and technology. A continuously available grant supports expenses for equipment, specialist literature, and other material costs. The focus is on initiatives that promote climate protection, waste reduction, or energy savings, thereby making a positive contribution to shaping the future. Among the best ideas, ten MINT Escape Events will also be raffled to further enhance learning enjoyment and team spirit. Participation is straightforward via the completed funding application, which can be submitted at any time.
Eligible for funding are school classes with their teachers who plan and carry out an independent MINT project. A prerequisite is submission as a project group from a general education school as well as proof of a clear future impact. Applications are evaluated based on the subject-related MINT reference, ecological or social effectiveness, and the commitment demonstrated in the application. Required documents include a concise project description, a financing plan with a total cost breakdown, and a schedule. The RÜTGERS Foundation reviews all applications promptly and sends the funding agreement upon positive decision. In this way, the foundation supports young researchers in putting their ideas into practice and sustainably strengthening interest in scientific and technical professions.
