MITTENMANG CULTURE – Ruck – Foundation of Awakening

The Ruck – Foundation for New Beginnings supports a diverse cultural program for families in Berlin through the MITTENMANG KULTUR initiative. As part of this ongoing sponsorship project, monthly visits to museums, theaters, galleries, and concert halls are organized, complemented by accompanying art and music workshops. In cooperation with local family centers, a vibrant event format is created that allows parents and children to jointly immerse themselves in the lively cultural landscape of the capital. The goal is to create bonding experiences and promote the holistic development of the youngest by enabling them to experience culture as a communal event.

Eligible for funding are non-profit organizations as well as public institutions engaged in the fields of culture, education, culture & media, and vocational training & further education. The program targets families with children of all ages and emphasizes gender-equitable communication with all participants. Through close collaboration with partners such as SOS Children's Village Germany (SOS-Kinderdorf e.V.) and FiPP e.V., established structures in the districts are utilized. Institutions from Berlin can apply for collaboration at any time and benefit from the expertise of the Ruck – Foundation. The project not only promotes cultural participation but also strengthens networking between family centers and Berlin cultural institutions.
