Description
The funding program Mobile Assisted Living of the Fonds Soziales Wien is aimed at homeless and housing-insecure individuals as well as those threatened with loss of housing who have their main place of residence in Vienna. The goal is to support the retention of an independent, contractually secured apartment and the long-term safeguarding of living space. Professional specialists accompany the participants in a needs-oriented and psychosocial manner to address the causes of homelessness or housing loss. Mobile Assisted Living networks existing services of Vienna’s homeless aid into a flexible, locally accessible support offering: from initial consultation through the mediation of housing placements to follow-up care and prevention work. The funding is granted as a non-repayable grant and is based on the individual support needs of the applicants. Applications can be submitted at any time; no deadline is set.
Eligible for funding are adult individuals and households who earn income at least equivalent to the Vienna minimum income support or receive corresponding benefits, cannot demonstrate any usable assets, and are willing to actively participate in overcoming their housing emergency. Further essential requirements include Austrian citizenship or equivalence according to § 7a WSHG, proof of social hardship, and willingness to engage in support. Required documents for the application are: application for funding of services, completion aid, proof of income situation, assets, and household composition. The decision is made based on a professional assessment. The grant payment is made directly to the recognized institutions implementing the funded service scope. Interested parties can find detailed information and form templates on the Fonds Soziales Wien website.
