Description
The "Mobile Support" in Tyrol is aimed at young people from the age of 16 as well as adults with disabilities who aspire to live an independent life in their own apartment or already do so and require professional guidance and support. As a continuously available subsidy, the State of Tyrol grants up to 75 hours of professional support per month over a period of up to 60 months. Primarily funded are personnel costs for mobile caregivers who provide support based on an individually developed needs and life concept, either in the home environment or during activities outside. The goal is to sustainably strengthen social participation, promote independent living, and avoid the transition to residential care facilities. A prerequisite for funding approval is the presence of a disability according to § 3 lit. a TTHG, main residence in Tyrol, as well as citizenship or equivalence according to § 4 para. 2 TTHG. Furthermore, there must be a prospect of permanent strengthening of participation and active involvement in the application process.
Interested applicants can submit an application for services under the Tyrolean Participation Act at any time. Official forms from the Department of Disability Assistance, available in an accessible format, must be used for the application. After positive review by the district administrative authority, funding begins on the first day of the month in which the application is submitted. A half-day initial interview with the responsible offices, followed by a professional assessment and a written service agreement, forms the framework for the support. This transparent and participatory approach ensures that the mobile support services are precisely aligned with the goals and wishes of the participants and strengthen their independence in everyday life.
