Description
Mobile pediatric nursing care in Carinthia is aimed at chronically ill, severely disabled, or terminally ill infants, children, adolescents, and young adults up to and including 25 years of age. The objective of the funding is to ensure needs-based care and professionally qualified nursing in the home environment. The service is provided as a subsidy and offers a meaningful complement to existing care services provided by hospitals. Through close coordination with families and various service providers, an individually tailored care concept is developed that combines technical and human competencies and relieves those affected. Specialized nursing care includes, in addition to comprehensive basic nursing care, specialized services such as invasive ventilation, feeding tubes, or palliative care, to support daily life in the familiar environment and maintain quality of life.
Eligible for funding are private individuals, public institutions, and non-profit organizations in Carinthia. A prerequisite for granting funding is membership in the defined target group, proof of net income, as well as the presentation of a care allowance notice or an equivalent proof of care dependency. Simultaneous full inpatient service provision, as well as acute mental illnesses or addiction problems, exclude funding. Applications can be submitted at any time and are valid indefinitely from 01.01.2014. In addition to income documents, the completed funding application or a care agreement with the service provider must be submitted as proof. A tiered co-payment system ensures a fair cost-sharing arrangement, taking into account the economic situation of the families.
