This public institution, supported by the federal states and broadcasting corporations, offers grants for all phases – from script development via the NEST portal through production to distribution and festival presentation. The selection focuses on content quality, a high degree of innovation, and a comprehensive regional connection in terms of shooting locations, professionals, and service providers.
Eligible for funding are companies, start-ups, non-profit organizations, and public institutions wishing to realize projects in feature film, series, short film, or experimental formats. A prerequisite is digital submission via the NEST portal as well as a verifiable production connection to Hamburg or Schleswig-Holstein.
