MTZ®-MPI Award

The MTZ®-MPI Award of the MTZ® Foundation honors outstanding scientific achievements in the life sciences and medicine at the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Biomedicine Münster. As a continuously offered prize, the award is aimed at doctoral and postdoctoral researchers up to two years after their dissertation defense. A prerequisite is a publication based on results from the MPI Münster. Candidates are selected based on the quality and relevance of their work as well as their scientific excellence. The board of trustees, consisting of the institute directors, nominates and reviews the submitted publications and CVs.

The award, endowed with a prize money of €2,500 and a certificate, enhances the visibility and support of young researchers in North Rhine-Westphalia. It underscores the foundation’s goal to support excellent projects at an early stage and thus make an active contribution to the advancement of medical research.
