The inclusive funding initiative of the Evangelical Foundation Alsterdorf in Hamburg is aimed at individuals in the fields of music, art, crafts, film, and theater. Private individuals, especially artists and cultural workers with and without disabilities, can submit applications on an ongoing basis. Projects that focus on inclusion and creative diversity are supported – from inclusive bands like Station 17 to studio collectives such as “Die Schlumper,” as well as theater and film productions by the groups “Meine Damen und Herren” or “17 Motion.” The scope of funding includes retroactive reimbursements for personnel and material costs as well as the awarding of scholarships to sustainably support individual creative work. Through this, the Evangelical Foundation Alsterdorf contributes to the visible promotion of inclusive cultural projects in the Hamburg metropolitan region.

The form of funding is provided as a grant and offers interested individuals flexible application procedures: an informal application process allows for spontaneous project ideas as well as standardized funding applications. There is no set maximum funding amount, allowing the range of creative undertakings to be adapted accordingly. The goal is to strengthen the active participation of people with disabilities and non-disabled artists, to create synergies between music, visual arts, and performing arts, and to promote sustainable inclusion locally. The Evangelical Foundation Alsterdorf invites submissions of exceptional project concepts and encourages contributing together to a vibrant cultural landscape in Hamburg.
