Music Scholarships of the Dr. Hanns Simon Foundation

The Dr. Hanns Simon Foundation annually supports up to 20 exceptionally talented young music and vocal artists in the Eifel district of Bitburg-Prüm with regular monthly funding contributions. This cultural grant promotes young musicians in their musical education and artistic development. The foundation's goal is to recognize excellent potential early and enable sustainable support—whether in preparation for competitions, artistic projects, or professional milestones. This targeted support makes an important contribution to strengthening the local cultural scene and paves the way for promising careers in the national and international music industry.

Eligible for funding are private individuals residing in the Eifel district of Bitburg-Prüm who demonstrate outstanding talent or verifiable achievements in music or singing. Evaluation criteria include, in particular, artistic potential as well as successes in national or regional competitions and in musical training. Regular mentoring by experts and the opportunity to perform at concerts held every two years in the festival hall of Haus Beda provide scholarship recipients with valuable networks and performance experience. Numerous former beneficiaries, including national winners of “Jugend musiziert” and members of renowned youth orchestras, attest to the lasting success of this program and demonstrate how continuous support can decisively advance an artistic career.
