Myanmar & Thailand Earthquake Relief Fund

The Myanmar & Thailand Earthquake Relief Fund of the DSZ – International Giving Foundation supports individuals, companies, and non-profit organizations based throughout Germany in providing immediate life-saving emergency aid following the devastating earthquakes on March 28 in the Mandalay region (Myanmar) as well as in affected areas of Thailand. The goal is to supply the threatened civilian population with medical supplies, emergency shelters, drinking water, food, and supplementary water and sanitation goods. The foundation guarantees a 100% funding rate: donations are transferred without deduction to verified partner organizations on site and cover all costs of emergency aid and reconstruction. Due to the continuous funding mechanism, donors can initiate their contribution at any time by submitting a completed donation form and receive a German donation receipt.

The DSZ – International Giving Foundation conducts the verification of non-profit status and monitors the use of funds in accordance with German tax and funding regulations. Eligible expenses include medical equipment, emergency shelters, food and drinking water supplies, as well as logistics measures. Through cooperation with established aid organizations such as Medical Action Myanmar, the Myanmar Foundation, the Pimali Association, and the Thai Red Cross Society, it is ensured that all relief goods reach the people in the disaster areas precisely. The fund relies on transparent processes and long-term commitment to promote not only acute emergency relief but also the reconstruction and sustainable development of the affected communities. Interested donors have access to the donation process at any time and thus make a decisive contribution to alleviating humanitarian crises in Southeast Asia.
