Description
The Anna Haag Foundation gGmbH supports barrier-free neighborhood meeting points and a residential café in Baden-Württemberg, which serve as vibrant spaces for encounters between young and old in Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt and Ostheim. The goal is to strengthen social networks within the district by financing a neighborhood manager as well as a variety of event formats – ranging from communal lunches and gymnastics sessions to coffee gatherings and game afternoons. As a grant provider, the foundation enables the establishment and operation of the Winterhalde, Badbrunnen, and Wohncafé Ostheim locations, particularly to offer older people living alone low-threshold access to shared activities and to promote intergenerational relationships.
Eligible for funding are non-profit organizations, private individuals, and companies wishing to support the project through donations or project funds. Financing is ongoing, allowing funding applications to be submitted at any time. In the focus areas of social affairs, children and youth, social cohesion/democracy, as well as work & social issues, the program contributes to sustainably strengthening neighborhood networking. By creating open meeting places, spaces for exchange, mutual support, and engagement are established, which enliven the district and foster community interaction.
