Sustainable Business Practices: Environmental Consultations (NÖWTF)

The initiative "Ökomanagement NÖ" promotes economically viable measures for climate and environmental protection in businesses, municipalities, public institutions, as well as non-profit organizations such as associations or interest groups in Lower Austria. Participating companies and institutions benefit from tailored environmental consulting services that are customized to the individual requirements of their specific operational environment. Through expert analysis of existing workflows and processes, environmentally relevant potentials are identified and concrete recommendations for action are developed that go beyond the statutory minimum requirements. The goal is the long-term reduction of emissions, resource, and energy consumption while simultaneously strengthening competitiveness and efficiency. As an ongoing available funding program, it allows flexible planning oriented to the needs of the applicants.

Only the costs for utilizing professional consulting services are eligible for funding. A prerequisite for a grant is the location or operational activity in Lower Austria as well as participation in the Ökomanagement NÖ program. The funding contribution is granted as a direct subsidy and can be applied for continuously. The funding rates are attractively designed to facilitate the entry into sustainable environmental measures and to provide a reliable framework for economically sensible implementation. With this support, the State of Lower Austria makes an important contribution to anchoring environmental policy goals in business and administration and to strengthening ecological commitment in the long term.
