Description
The funding program "Sustainable Mobility in Saarland (NMOB) – Alternative Drives" supports companies and public institutions in Saarland with investments in low-emission drive technologies for public local transport. The goal is to expand a future-proof and resource-conserving mobility infrastructure. Funding is provided for network connections for charging and refueling infrastructure, electrolysis plants for hydrogen production, as well as the acquisition and development of land. In addition, training for driving and workshop personnel, measures for digital fleet management, and innovative model and pilot projects can be subsidized. Applications can be submitted continuously in writing or digitally to the Ministry of Environment, Climate, Mobility, Agriculture and Consumer Protection of Saarland before the start of the measure.
The funding rate ranges between 40% and 100% of eligible expenses depending on the measure, up to a maximum funding amount of EUR 1 million. Small and medium-sized enterprises receive an additional increase of the funding rate by up to 20%. A prerequisite for a grant is an operating site or branch in Saarland (in exceptional cases also in other parts of Germany), a demonstrably economically viable operation of the infrastructure, and the exclusive use of electricity from renewable energies for electrolysis plants. Excluded are, among others, planning costs, deconstruction measures, administrative expenses, as well as the acquisition of buildings and structural facilities. With this funding measure, the Ministry aims to promote sustainable transport and climate policy and makes an important contribution to reducing emissions in public local transport.
