Nation & You

Nation & You is a nationwide educational and debate project of the independent German National Foundation aimed at deepening the understanding of democracy and strengthening social cohesion. Through interactive formats such as workshops, panel discussions, and digital learning modules, participants are invited to reflect on the idea of national identity within an open and cosmopolitan Europe. The program covers not only historical and political foundations but also fosters exchange among young people from different regions of Germany. Nation & You promotes dialogue about shared values and supports the development of critical judgment through moderated discussion rounds and innovative educational offerings.

The funding is directed at individuals as well as educational institutions that wish to become active in the fields of engagement for social cohesion, democracy, education, vocational and further training, as well as labor and social affairs. Thanks to ongoing funding opportunities, interested youth and learning venues can submit project ideas at any time. Nation & You provides a platform on which projects are initiated and sustainably supported to raise awareness of democratic participation. The German National Foundation finances the program from the returns on its endowment capital and private donations, thereby ensuring long-term and independent support.
