Funding objective
Funding of projects for the integration of third-country nationals, persons entitled to asylum, beneficiaries of subsidiary protection, displaced persons, EU citizens, and individuals whose first language is not German. Focus on innovative initiatives in the areas of language and education, work and profession, rule of law and values, health and social affairs, intercultural dialogue, sports and leisure, as well as housing and regional integration.

Description
National Integration Support in Vienna assists non-profit organizations, interest groups, companies with a non-profit project approach, educational institutions, and other organizations in sustainably supporting people with a migration background along the action fields of the National Action Plan for Integration (NAP.I). Projects promoting language and educational offerings, qualification measures for work and profession, awareness-raising about the rule of law and values, initiatives in the health and social sectors, formats for intercultural dialogue, sports and leisure activities, as well as projects for regional integration and residential neighborhood development are funded. Grants are awarded in the form of subsidies in ongoing calls starting from 01.05.2025; a minimum funding amount of €10,000 must be observed. Individuals and territorial authorities are excluded.
The funding framework includes personnel expenses, travel costs, material costs, subcontracts, capital goods, training, and real estate costs; excluded are in-kind contributions and material services, private pension provisions, depreciation of real estate, alcoholic beverages, damages, warranty services, and fines. Projects are evaluated based on relevance to the target group, sustainability, alignment with NAP.I action fields, as well as cost-effectiveness and economy. Submissions are possible at any time; applications require a detailed project description, a financing and schedule cost plan, an overall budget overview, a participant list, and templates for interim and final reports. The processing is managed by the Federal Chancellery, which is also responsible for selection, contract design, monitoring, and evaluation.
