Description
The national co-financing within the framework of the EU Structural Funds objective "European Territorial Cooperation" supports Austrian project partners in cross-border, transnational, and interregional collaborations. As continuously awarded, non-repayable grants, it strengthens the framework conditions for foreign trade, regional development, as well as agriculture and rural innovation. The goal is to promote joint activities that advance knowledge and technology transfer within Europe and establish sustainable, cross-location networks. The budget volume is published annually and enables demand-oriented planning for public institutions, companies, and non-profit or education-related organizations throughout Austria.
Eligible for funding are Austrian institutions and companies with a registered office or branch in Austria that actively participate in the "European Territorial Cooperation" (ETC) program. A prerequisite for application is participation within the framework of the EU Structural Funds objective as well as compliance with national and EU legal provisions. Interested project partners benefit from transparent processing by the Federal Ministry for Economy, Energy and Tourism, Section I/7, which assumes cross-departmental coordination. The funding contributes to strengthening the competitiveness of domestic actors and makes a contribution to deeper integration at the European level.
