The mentoring program neustart – successful return to working life by the Walter Blüchert Foundation is aimed at (long-term) unemployed individuals in North Rhine-Westphalia who have been without employment for over 12 months or are undergoing qualification-oriented retraining. At the locations Dortmund, Essen, Gelsenkirchen, and Recklinghausen, participants receive ongoing support from experienced mentors. The focus is on strengthening motivation, self-organization, and self-confidence, as well as promoting individual personal development. Through regular counseling sessions and practical impulses, obstacles to re-entry into the primary labor market are to be overcome and the completion of qualification measures successfully supported. The program continuously offers subsidies and thus sustainable support for all interested parties.
