Description
The funding in the federal state of Lower Austria is aimed at municipalities as well as non-profit organizations and associations that offer at least one week of care during the summer, autumn, Easter, and Christmas holidays for children aged 2½ to 15 years. The goal of this initiative is to strengthen the compatibility of family and work by supporting high-quality programs in child-friendly facilities. Priority is given to children of working parents and single parents, who are cared for in groups of at least five and a maximum of 25 participants (maximum 15 for children under six). Providers must designate a pedagogically responsible person with relevant qualifications and employ sufficiently qualified care staff aged 18 and over. The offer includes daily care from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. or four consecutive days from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. without an overnight component.
Personnel costs, program costs, and material expenses are funded at 100%; the maximum funding amounts to 250 euros per care week and group, up to 400 euros for inclusive offers. Applicants must submit all necessary documents – including qualification certificates of the pedagogically responsible persons, a list of the children cared for, group overviews, an income-expenditure statement, as well as the care program. Submissions are possible no later than eight weeks after the end of the care measure. Applications can be submitted indefinitely; binding criteria for allocation are timely application submission and compliance with the funding guidelines.
