Description

The "Emergency Aid" program of the Betreuungswerk Post Postbank Telekom Foundation is aimed at employees, former employees, and their family members within the nationwide Post, Postbank, and Telekom environment who have fallen into financial hardship through no fault of their own. In particular, in cases of serious illness, disabilities, or challenging life situations, as well as after disasters, the Betreuungswerk provides needs-based grants. Eligible expenses include aids, therapy costs, barrier-free modifications, and rapid emergency assistance without extensive income verification. Applications can be submitted at any time, provided that one’s own income or assets are insufficient to independently manage the unforeseen emergency. The foundation draws on a tradition of solidarity spanning over 130 years and acts as a reliable partner in acute crisis situations.

With the goal of providing swift and unbureaucratic support to those affected, the Betreuungswerk offers not only financial assistance but also individual counseling services on site. Social advisors and works council members act as intermediaries and, if necessary, establish contact with the foundation’s representatives. Through continuous support of social and health-related measures, the quality of life of the beneficiaries is sustainably improved. The emergency aid thus strengthens community cohesion and underscores the shared commitment to implementing solidarity in challenging life circumstances in a concrete and effective manner.
