Description

The funding for public relations in the forestry sector in Tyrol supports both private and public actors in the conception and implementation of information and awareness-raising measures for sustainable forest management. Supported activities include event and demonstration measures, targeted dissemination of messages through media, as well as the support of forestry experts and interest groups. The goal is to make the complex interrelationships between forest functions, climate protection, and biodiversity understandable to a broad public while simultaneously strengthening professional exchange within forestry practice. The continuously available grant funds cover material and personnel costs, whereby, in addition to flat rates, own contributions and in-kind services are also recognized as eligible expenses.

Eligible applicants are natural persons, companies, associations, interest groups, and communities of persons who submit a detailed project and whose measures comply with the valid forestry funding catalog. Essential prerequisites include the preparation of a funding application and approval by the responsible granting authority. Submissions are possible on an ongoing basis; the funding has been in effect since 01.03.2013 until further notice. Required documents include the detailed project and the completed funding application. The measure must follow clear forestry objectives and be accounted for transparently. Through this initiative, the role of the forest as an ecological protective space, recreational area, and climate factor is to be strengthened. Interested actors thus receive reliable financial support for target-group-oriented communication of forestry content and actively contribute to the sustainable development of the Tyrolean forest landscape.
