Austrian Science Fund

The Austrian Research Association promotes nationwide higher education and education policy activities as well as science communication with the aim of sustainably strengthening trust in science. Projects at universities, universities of applied sciences, and private universities that serve to increase the quality and capacity of educational qualifications in accordance with the Bologna objectives are funded. As a grant program of the Federal Ministry of Education, unlimited funds are available, allowing applications to be submitted continuously. The funding initiative deliberately employs gender-neutral language for all participants and experts to ensure diversity and equal opportunities in research and teaching.

Interested educational institutions and non-profit organizations may submit an application for funding at any time. The prerequisite is the planning or implementation of higher education and education policy measures or activities in science communication. The allocation of funding not only supports individual measures but also contributes to the national education strategy by increasing the number of degrees awarded at universities, universities of applied sciences, and private universities. Through the close integration of research, teaching, and public relations, sustainable impulses are set to establish science as a trustworthy foundation for social and economic developments.
