Description

The Austrian Cancer Aid Burgenland continuously receives non-repayable grants from the State of Burgenland to finance professional counseling services for women diagnosed with breast cancer in Burgenland. The funding objective is to ensure low-threshold support for those affected by qualified social workers and psychologists. The initiative promotes the implementation of projects in the fields of health and women's empowerment, thereby making an important contribution to equality and the strengthening of female life realities. Through the ongoing submission possibility without fixed deadlines, counseling services can be flexibly adapted to needs and sustainably established. Both individual and group counseling as well as self-help groups aimed at the psychosocial well-being of breast cancer patients are funded.

Eligible for funding are non-profit organizations, associations, and initiatives whose projects are largely financially secured before the project start. Requirements include the earmarked use of subsidy funds, waiver of liability for losses, deficit coverage, or debt servicing, as well as timely reporting of project-relevant changes to the Department for Women, Anti-Discrimination, and Equality. Application documents include a written request, a detailed project description with objectives, target group, schedule, and methods, a financing plan including cost estimates, as well as IBAN/BIC. After approval, interim reports and a final evaluation must be submitted. The funding is exclusively aimed at breast cancer patients residing in Burgenland and offers them free access to expert counseling and support.
