Description

The "Online Journal for Higher Education Development (ZFHE)" is sustainably supported by a grant from the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research to ensure the ongoing publication and further development of this central medium in the Austrian higher education context. Educational institutions accessible nationwide, public institutions, as well as non-profit organizations, can apply for funding. The aim is to bring the importance of science and research closer to a broad public while simultaneously strengthening editorial quality, technical infrastructure, and organizational processes. Particularly involved are the Forum New Media-Austria, the Academy for Media and Knowledge Transfer at the University of Graz, and the responsible editorial management, which regularly holds meetings together with an interdisciplinary editorial board.

Eligible for funding are, among other things, general organizational costs, expenses for editorial board meetings, travel costs, technical support of the online portal, public relations measures to strengthen Austrian authors, as well as accounting and billing. Funding prerequisites include proof of editorial management, the holding of editorial board meetings, and the technical maintenance of the portal. Public relations efforts are specifically aimed at increasing the share of domestic authors and editors. The funding is unlimited and has been continuously available since 01/01/2013. This creates a stable framework that equally supports media, research, and educational projects and guarantees the development of a vibrant dialogue platform in the field of higher education development.
