Description
The Upper Austria Education Account supports career-oriented further education and retraining of private individuals in Upper Austria with a financial grant. The objective is the long-term securing and development of employability in the regional labor market. Course costs starting from 100 euros are funded, provided the measure is conducted in certified institutions (Ö-Cert or quality seal of the Upper Austrian adult and continuing education institutions). Funds are available indefinitely, and applications can be submitted continuously. A participation certificate with at least 75% attendance serves as proof for the application and must be submitted within six months after course completion.
Eligible for funding are individuals with their main residence in Upper Austria at the start of the course who pursue career-oriented further education or reorientation. Retraining as defined by the AMS, retirees, and persons with only temporary main residence in Upper Austria are not eligible. Costs for travel, accommodation, meals, literature, examination fees, esoteric training and further education, as well as studies and courses with an academic degree, are not eligible for funding. To apply, a fully completed application form (written or online), participation and examination certificates, as well as payment or invoice receipts must be submitted. Funding is granted within six months after proof of all documents and is based on the guidelines for employee funding through an education account of the State of Upper Austria.
