Upper Austrian Fire Prevention Fund

The Upper Austrian Fire Prevention Fund serves to specifically support public institutions and volunteer fire brigades in Upper Austria in implementing effective fire prevention measures. As a continuously available grant funding, the fund covers both personnel expenses and material costs, thereby ensuring the basic financing for fulfilling its statutory tasks. Eligible recipients are public organizations in the fields of disaster protection and labor & social affairs that meet the legal requirements according to § 19 (2) of the Upper Austrian Fire Police Act. Applications can be submitted continuously, enabling flexible planning and execution of projects.

The focus of the funding is on improving fire and hazard defense throughout the entire state of Upper Austria. The fund enables measures such as training, education, maintenance, as well as the procurement of equipment and materials that strengthen preventive fire protection. Volunteer fire brigades and other public fire and disaster protection organizations benefit from the transparent and unbureaucratic funding process, which guarantees rapid provision of funds. Through sustainable financing of personnel and material resources, the Upper Austrian Fire Prevention Fund makes an important contribution to the safety of the population and the strengthening of local operational structures.
