Description

openTransfer Klima connects civil society initiatives, associations, social enterprises, and non-profit organizations nationwide that promote socially just climate protection or support people particularly affected by the consequences of the climate crisis. Within the framework of free formats such as barcamps, workshops, and special networking opportunities, methodological skills are imparted, best practices shared, and exchange within the third sector actively encouraged. The Bürgermut Foundation brings together actors from all over Germany with openTransfer Klima to jointly develop and establish innovative solution approaches in the long term. By promoting cooperation and knowledge transfer, successful projects are to be accelerated and sustainably scaled.

openTransfer Klima is funded within the framework of a sponsorship format that is continuously open for applications and exclusively targets non-profit organizations, interest groups, other associations, and social enterprises. The aim is to offer effective support to committed initiatives in the thematic areas of climate protection, environmental and nature conservation, as well as energy efficiency. Program participants benefit from practical impulses, experienced experts, and a growing network that paves the way for socially just climate protection measures. As the sponsor, the Bürgermut Foundation, founded in 2007, stands for agile cooperation on equal footing and has many years of experience in the professionalization of civil society actors with formats such as barcamps, webinars, and scholarships.
