Description
The Friedrich Karl Ströher Foundation of the Kreissparkasse Rhein-Hunsrück and the city of Simmern/Hunsrück supports the professional restoration and long-term preservation of the artistic estate of Friedrich Karl Ströher in Rhineland-Palatinate. Private individuals, non-profit organizations, companies, and public institutions can assume sponsorships starting from a contribution of €100 to finance the restoration of woodcuts, drawings, lithographs, or oil paintings. The foundation covers 100% of all expenses directly attributable to a work, including photographic documentation, dry cleaning, and enzymatic cleaning. No administrative costs are incurred – all donations flow entirely into the preservation measures. Funding rates and sponsorship gifts such as reproductions in glass frames or canvas prints vary depending on the scope of the work and the amount of the contribution.
The goal is to secure Ströher’s cultural treasure for future generations and to restore the objects in optimal quality. Interested citizens and institutions can flexibly contact the foundation by email to select an individual restoration object. Upon acceptance of the sponsorship application, supporters receive a tax-deductible donation receipt, a certificate, and a reference to their support on-site and in the online archive. Through continuously open funding opportunities, each sponsorship can become an integral part of monument protection and museum work and make a visible contribution to the research, documentation, and presentation of Ströher’s work.
