Description

The flat-rate funding for holiday trips by the Aktion Mensch Foundation is aimed at non-profit organizations and public institutions in Germany that offer inclusive holiday or group trips for people with disabilities. The goal of the funding is to enable encounters and participation of children, adolescents, and young adults up to 27 years old with and without disabilities. The funding covers daily fees for accompanying persons: up to €80 for children and adolescents with disabilities and €50 per day for adult participants with disabilities and for non-disabled young people. The trips must last at least five days and be openly advertised. Typically, one accompanying person is provided per three participants; in cases of increased care or support needs, the supervision ratio can be adjusted to 1:2 or 1:1.

Applications can be submitted online at any time, with a funding rate of 100%. Eligible expenses include exclusively the costs for accompanying persons; trips shorter than five days, closed group offers, excursions without overnight stays, or stays in the target group's home area are not funded. Projects can receive up to €400,000 annually per project partner; no own funds are required. With this funding, the Aktion Mensch Foundation builds bridges between people with and without disabilities in leisure and vacation activities and sustainably strengthens inclusive coexistence.
