Description

In Tyrol, a continuously open funding opportunity enables the provision of personal assistance services for adults with physical impairments and/or sensory disabilities as well as for adolescents from the age of 16 who live independently in their own apartment. The subsidy supports all activities of daily living, from household management and mobility aids to participation in social, cultural, and political life. Within a maximum period of 60 months, up to 250 assistance hours per month can be claimed. The aim of the measure is to ensure a self-determined life in the chosen living arrangement and to avoid the transition to institutionalized housing. Professional quality is ensured by a needs-oriented concept based on empowerment, participation, and help towards self-help, supported by recognized scientific standards.

Eligible to apply are privately living persons with a recognized disability (§ 3 lit. a TTHG), who either hold Austrian citizenship or have equivalent status and have their main residence in Tyrol. Proof of disability and the completed application form according to the Tyrolean Participation Act are required. The approval is granted for a maximum of five years and can be extended if the need persists. Submission and participation in the procedure are the responsibility of the applicants; the funding agency reviews the prospects for sustainable strengthening of social participation. Legal certainty for all parties involved is ensured through clear service agreements and a transparent documentation system, guaranteeing continuous quality development.
